About Emma

With a background in Neuroscience Emma is trained as a certified coach with the International Coaching Federation. She has a strong understanding in Government and Not-for-Profit sectors both in the UK and internationally having had leadership roles in each.  Emma has worked with 1000s of women as a leadership coach and facilitator which means she has worked through many challenges, aspirations and journeys with her clients and is pretty unshockable as a result. This skill is also developed daily by her three daughters.

Emma aims to live with purpose, kindness and integrity. She looks for a (sometimes wry) smile for every moment. She also has the dishwasher to unload, a school trip form to fill in and a mum to care for; her work is grounded in balance. Emma works with the whole of you, as how you show up as a colleague, influences how you show up as a mum, friend or partner and vice versa.

What You Can Expect

No matter what the specifics of your situation, the beat of the drum in the room will help you focus on balance over burnout, integrity over imposter syndrome, love over fear.

Emma works with your heart, head and hands; bringing change through your inner wisdom, your sharp mind and the work you do. In doing this work, Emma is your ally and walks by your side with authentic kindness and nitty gritty challenge.

Emma’s superpower is holding a space where you can feel safe enough to honestly reflect and courageous enough to change – that is feedback she consistently receives. You get a completely confidential space with zero judgement. You are invited to show up exactly as you are, perhaps unravel a bit and then weave something stronger. Our work is to bring your best gifts to the challenges you are facing.

You can expect to gain clarity on what you want in terms of impact and wellbeing in your work, family and community. You can expect to turn the volume down on your inner critics and give the megaphone to your inner sage. You break down the steps and have accountability and support to take action, reflect, celebrate and learn a positive mindset so you can change how you face challenges and change in this time of crisis. The work will help you feel clearer about what is yours to do but also, importantly, who you want to be whilst doing it.

Who Emma Works With

You are a public facing leader working for social and/or environmental justice*. On paper you are smashing it out of the park. You're dedicated. You're smart. You care. You are successful. You want to play your part in bringing justice and change to our people and planet at a point in history when we are running out of time.

You also live with very private imposter syndrome or burn out that makes you worry you’re not up to the job.

*for example, you might be a CEO, an artist, a public speaker, activist, in law, medicine, government, politics or a combination of these and other sectors. The point is you’re putting yourself out there for change.

Coaching Approach

Emma’s coaching approach is rooted in the fact that we are living through a social and environmental crisis. Your work is deeply meaningful. It’s also vulnerable, exposed and draining. Of course there is an imposter narrative! But it doesn’t have to be so loud or in charge.

You will be held in a space safe and courageous enough to be vulnerable and honest, to unravel a little and then weave something new. Emma shows up exactly as she is and invites you to do the same. She uses both her heart and her head in coaching, weaving intuition, somatic enquiry and sitting with emotions together with a sharp intellect to understand complex issues quickly and ask insightful questions that support you to shift and change in alignment with your goals.

Emma is trained in intuitive coaching (ICF), positive intelligence and the tools of Tara Mohr’s Playing big to have a range of coherent tools to use during our time together.

Emma is focused on two things: what you want to do and who you want to be, and she supports you to explore and develop both.

Emma is amazed again and again by the power of genuine coaching – trusting that we are all whole, resourced and complete. She supports you need to tap into that. Think of your coaching sessions like a moment of wintery pause; time to tend to your roots, pause a moment, realign and adjust to then be able to grow and be seen to grow in the hazy bright summer of the public eye.
