Find a safe space: If you can, move to a quiet area where you feel comfortable. Dim the lights or step outside for fresh air.

The 4-7-8 Breath: Inhale through your nose for 4 seconds, hold for 7, and exhale slowly through your mouth for 8 seconds. Repeat four times.

Grounding exercise: Name 5 things you can see, 4 things you can touch, 3 things you can hear, 2 things you can smell, and 1 thing you can taste.

Sip some water: A cold drink of water can help reset your nervous system and bring your focus back to the present moment.
