Approach

Rabia takes a collaborative and down to earth approach, recognising that therapy isn’t a one size fits all process. Although her core training is in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), she draws on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) and mindfulness-based approaches. She also offers EMDR where appropriate.

Together, you’ll explore what’s been happening, make sense of any unhelpful patterns and develop practical strategies that feel realistic and meaningful to their everyday lives.

She works in a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive and neuroaffirming way, recognising the importance of individual differences, identity and lived experiences.

About Rabia

Rabia is a BABCP accredited CBT Psychotherapist with extensive experience working across NHS mental health services and private practice.

She primarily works with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, stress, burnout, trauma-related difficulties and challenges associated with long-term health conditions.

She has a particular passion for women’s mental health, especially the psychological and emotional impact of hormonal and reproductive health conditions, including PMDD, PCOS/PMOS, endometriosis and perimenopause. She also supports individuals experiencing health anxiety, difficulties adjusting to chronic illness, relationship challenges, perfectionism, people-pleasing and difficulties with emotional regulation.

Her practice is inclusive, and she welcomes clients from diverse cultural, religious and personal backgrounds.

What You Can Expect

Clients can expect a warm, welcoming and non-judgemental space where they feel genuinely listened to, understood and supported.

Rabia believes therapy should be more than simply talking about difficulties. It’s about developing greater self-awareness, building confidence and creating lasting, positive changes. She balances compassionate exploration with gentle challenge, helping clients move forward at a pace that feels comfortable while encouraging growth.

Above all, clients can expect authenticity, empathy and a therapeutic relationship built on trust, respect and understanding.
